Each year, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Opera opens its final dress rehearsal to school students from public and private schools, home-schooling co-ops, and Girl Scout troops.

During the performance year, CPYO also visits selected schools to perform our "Opera Ambassadors" educational outreach program. CPYO is limited to five performances per year, so please book early for the upcoming season.

Underwriters of the Opera Ambassadors program have included Opera Volunteers International, The Foundation For Enhancing Communities, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pa.

For the 2009 season, the program will be funded in part by the Greater Harrisburg Foundation, a regional component foundation of the Foundation for Enhancing Communities. Other 2009 funders include Target Stores and Lois Lehrman Grass.
